Powder Bath Plans

After purchasing our little mid-century home, to say we needed a total powder bath upgrade would be the understatement of the year. We didn't just need a refresh, we needed a complete transplant!

Before

During the planning phase, we realized early on that we were going to have to get creative with finding more space to gain additional square footage in this room. Looking at the above photo, you can see that there wasn't even room for a sink! The solution we came up with involved taking space from the HVAC closet next door. This at least allowed us enough room to add a custom-built vanity that we later built and installed ourselves.

The goal with this design was to blend our typical scandi mid-century look with natural elements such as wood vanity tops and a slate backsplash. Even though this was a small space, we wanted to make sure to maintain the Blank Slate flare through the use of jackalope wallpaper, hex flooring, and our standard black and gold finishes.

When it came to product selection, we decided to enlist the help of our friends over at build.com. We've used their product in countless projects before and really loved working together. Build.com has a fantastic selection of home improvement products including trending and traditional styles, unique finishes, and new technologies at competitive prices all in one place. Customers can easily find what they need to create their own style--hence the reason we keep coming back! They also offer professionals exclusive pricing on the best selection of products, with stock you can depend on.

Although it was a bit of a process, we're quite dang happy with the way she turned out. Be sure to check out the next blog post to watch the transformation. Till then, here's a sneak peek to curb your appetites!
